Seven kilometres from Tamworth’s CBD and directly opposite the Tamworth Global Gateway Park, Talee Estate is positioned where the region’s jobs, infrastructure and housing demand all converge.
Tamworth is a major regional city and the commercial heart of the New England North West. Widely known as the Country Music Capital of Australia, it’s also the service hub for agriculture, health, education and retail across northern NSW, serving a catchment of more than 200,000 people. It’s a city with genuine economic depth — not a single-industry town.
Tamworth’s urban area is home to around 43,900 residents, with the wider regional council area approaching 66,000 and growing steadily at roughly 0.8–1.0% a year. That growth is consistent and infrastructure-led rather than speculative — exactly the kind of demand that underpins a long-term land investment.
Retail is the largest employer (around 22.5% of jobs), anchored by Peel Street’s CBD. Agriculture and poultry processing remain central, manufacturing contributes close to 20% of output, and health, education, aviation and wholesale round out a broad economic base. This diversity is what gives Tamworth its resilience.
Westdale is an established residential suburb within the Tamworth Regional Council area, around 7 km from the CBD. It has become a strategic location thanks to its position between the city and the region’s major employment centres — increasingly sought after by owner-occupiers and investors alike.
From Talee Estate, daily essentials, schools, employment and the airport are all a short drive away — and the Tamworth CBD is under ten minutes.

Talee Estate sits opposite a once-in-a-generation wave of investment — more than $400 million of it within reach of the estate. Together, these projects are generating the jobs, and the housing demand, that drive long-term value in Westdale.

Australia’s leading vertically integrated poultry producer is undertaking a major expansion in the Tamworth region, expected to add 656 direct jobs and lift total onsite employment to around 1,176. Key projects include the Oakburn processing plant ($203M), the Tangaratta stockfeeds mill expansion ($83.7M) and the Silverweir broiler farm ($28.5M) — together driving sustained, long-term housing demand.
Singapore Flying College — a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines — operates a pilot training school at Tamworth Regional Airport, supported by over 300 favourable flying days a year. A steady inflow of cadets and aviation staff adds consistent, ongoing demand for local housing and services.
Tamworth Regional Airport continues to grow its passenger and freight operations, handling Boeing 737-sized aircraft and reinforcing the city’s role as a regional transport and logistics centre — bringing further employment and accommodation demand to the area.
Westdale has moved from an early-growth phase into stable value appreciation, while the major employment-generating infrastructure around it is coming online through 2026 and 2027. Combined with a rental vacancy rate near 1.0%, that’s a rare alignment of immediate demand and long-term growth potential.
